| Nature This is one of my most awarding shows. Warning: it is sometimes necessary to listen more than once. These are real scienctists prone to falling into technical-ese requiring mental effort to comprehend. Chris Smith interviews the scientists doing the real path breaking work. His knowledge of the research enables him to ask leading questions that get to the core of the science. | rssfeed |

| Security Now The only complaint I have about this show is that it keeps adding to my to-do list! It has great advice about everything from secure email to comparison of different virtual machine software. Someone has been good enough to create a wikipedia entry listing all the topics. | rssfeed |

| In Our Time Historians discuss topics such as Don Quixote, Francis Bacon and the beginning of the British Royal Society, or social and political movements of the past. The rssfeed only contains the last show. Subject to summer hiatus, when the profs take off for the Mediterranian? | |

| EdTechTalk The shows consists of Skype cast discussions between educators who use blogs in the classroom. They are mostly K-12 and have a cheerful and helpful community. They help each other collect course material in wikis and have their students write to students in other countries through "walled garden" blogs. One of the most valuable discussions has to do with the Blackboard patent. It is a big commitment to listen to all their output. They could use an editor. | rssfeed |
